Welcome to...

my WTTC journal!

You may know me from JM, but if not... I'm Penelope, and my DB is Jeff (both 24). We have an angel, Autumn Rose, who we lost at 12 weeks in February.

We'll probably be WTTC until atleast January, 2012. Jeff graduates with his accounting degree in September, 2011, so that would give him 1 month to find a job and 3 months to get past the probationary period. On an accountant's salary, I could be a SAHM for the first year of baby's life (and maybe longer :D), and our benefits would be great.

2012 is also the year that I'll be turning 28. I don't really want to be any older before we begin TTC, for two reasons: the increased chance of fertility issues in your 30's, and the possible length of time it will take to conceive.

Jeff's graduation is the main reason that we're WTTC ATM. We're also saving for a down payment on a house, which we should have in another 9 months. We have plans to do some traveling, and there are a few self improvement projects that I'm working on.

Before I go on, I just want to say that if a surprise happened right now, it would not by any means be a bad thing. ATM, Jeff is working fulltime as a payroll clerk while he's in school. The company that he's with provides great benefits, and pays all of his tuition 100%. I work full time in the medical field, which also provides great benefits. Our careers offer pretty good job stability, and steady raises/room for advancement. We would never raise a baby in our current apartment, but if we needed to move before we had our down payment, then we would.

For now, we actively prevent only on fertile days. I don't use anything to track my cycle (temps or OPK's), I just go by CM and other ovulation symptoms.

I'm on CD 28 right now, just waiting for AF to show up. We're going skydiving on the 27th, so if she hasn't made her appearance by the 26th, I'm going to test with a FRER just to be absolutely SURE that there's no chance I could end up hurting a baby.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
